THE DRAGON KINGDOM
Days 1- 2 Amankora Thimphu On arrival transfer to Amankora Thimpu, a property raised up in a blue pine forest of the Motithang area, close to the capital's intriguing sights and traditional shops. On day one you will have the choice of the National Memorial Chorten, National Textile Museum, Folk Heritage Museum and National Library to visit. On day two view Trashi Chhoe Dzong.
Days 3-4 Amankora Punakha Transfer to Punakha Valley and following a visit to the rustic Wangdiphodrang and a trip to village of Talo, home of the Queens, you will stay at Amankora Punakha, situated east of the Dochu La Pass and just north of the resplendent Punakha Dzong. The next day, enjoy an awe-inspiring hike along the Mo Chhu through to the Khamsum Yuelley Namgyal Chorten, Punakha Dzong and Chimi Lhakhang.
Days 5-7 Amankora Paro Transfer to the Paro Valley and the luxury destination of Amankora Paro; nestled amongst glistening conifers it is a 24 suite pine forest retreat with a superb spa. From here guests can visit the National Museum and take a trek to view one of Bhutan's most revered monuments, the Taktshang Goemba, more commonly referred to as the 'Tiger's Nest'.
