Susan d’Arcy recommends stay at Kempinski Hotel
In last week’s Sunday Times, travel guru Susan d’Arcy recommended an ITC Luxury Travel hotel to a family looking for some TLC…
In the Ask The Team section, Sunday Times reader Christina O’Donovan wrote in with the following request:
“My husband has had knee surgery and we would like a posh spa holiday with lots of yoga and Pilates to boost his spirits. We have two teenage sons, so there must be watersports and some nightlife. Our budget is £12,000. Any suggestions?”
Susan d’Arcy wrote in response: “The glamorous clifftop Kempinski Hotel Barbaros Bay, outside Bodrum, in Turkey, should meet with everyone’s approval. It has a private beach, excellent alfresco hatha yoga – a style good for rehabilitation – and an impressive spa with a vast hammam. So that’s the parents sorted. For your progeny, the resort has plenty of watersports, including wakeboarding and sailing, and the endless bars of Bodrum town make for top nights out.
ITC Luxury Travel (01244 355550, itcluxurytravel.co.uk) has two weeks from £11,719, B&B, based on a family of four sharing two rooms and including flights from London.”
