A romantic luxury holiday in the city of love

It has always been a dream of mine to visit Paris, and last weekend this was realised when my boyfriend and I tied in an overnight stay in London with a journey on the Eurostar (another experience I had wanted to do for a long time).

During the trip we took in all the iconic sights; the Eiffel Tower, The Louvre, Arc de Triomphe, as well as heading up the 400 steps to the towers of Notre Dame which really did have a magnificent view over the whole of Paris, definitely worth the climb!

We also booked a romantic dinner cruise along the Seine in the evening, which I thought may be a little cheesy, but actually turned out to be a beautiful evening with lovely food and a great way to see a lot of Paris by night. Getting around was very easy on the Metro, or you could always try a hop-on-hop-off bus tour, or even a private tour in an old Citroen C2V!

If you’re looking to shop until you drop, especially with Christmas just around the corner, Avenue des Champs-Élysées is where you need to head where there is plenty of purchasing to be done.

However, if you’re looking for something special you can visit the flagship Louis Vuitton store on the corner of Avenue George V, home to the famous Four Seasons George V, plus a number of designer shops including Armani and Givenchy or wander down Rue du Faubourg St. Honoré where you can find Hermes and Cholé.

Whatever you’re looking for, Paris will surely deliver!
