My stay at One&Only Cape Town

Eighteen years in the travel industry and I was still yet to visit South Africa. So many other destinations were always at the forefront and there was always something in the back of my mind casting doubt over a trip to SA, but having worked closely with our resident South African Destination Manager, Richard Nurse, for three years, my mind was quickly made up that I must go to see what all the hype was about.

I wasn’t to be disappointed. Flying into Cape Town from Manchester with Emirates we arrived around lunch time and with only 1 hour time difference we felt remarkably fresh from a long flight. As we headed into Cape Town we just knew we were going to love it, the views were just outstanding!

The only place for us to stay had to be our number one property in Cape Town, the One&Only, and we arrived to a lovely warm greeting in a beautiful and elegant lobby where check-in was made an absolute breeze.

We had an extremely spacious room with great views of Table Mountain, and the bathrooms were very well appointed. The V&A Waterfront is but a few minutes walk away and full of great restaurants and shops, however dining at Nobu restaurant was one of the highlights of our dining experiences, with sublime Japanese cuisine, just fantastic!

Six nights in Cape Town was just not enough and I now can’t wait to go back. I can’t believe it has taken me this long to experience this beautiful country! One&Only is and has to be the one and only place to stay in Cape Town; their attention to the little things is what makes the whole stay so unforgettable. Just try it – you won’t be disappointed!
