A warm welcome to Barbados
As Barbados is our top selling destination here at ITC Luxury Travel, when I was asked to travel their, I was so excited. I could not wait to see the hotels we talk about everyday and experience what the island has to offer for myself.
When arriving at Barbados airport the first thing brought to my attention was how friendly and welcoming the locals were. I was then transferred to Sea Breeze hotel which was a 15 minute transfer and is situated on the south coast of the island set on two beautiful beaches where I spent five nights. Our first night was hosted by Oistins restaurant; the food was perfect and once again the local’s friendliness and welcoming attitude was superb. Also, while staying on the island I was lucky enough to enjoy two of the restaurants at Sea Breeze and also a night in Daphne’s restaurant which was filled with great food, people and lots of entertainment. For a more lively night, I also visited Harbour Lights Beach Bar & Club which was a fantastic night.
Other hotels I visited on my trip included the Oceans Two Hotel, Bougainvillia Beach Resort, The House, Tamarind, Cobblers Cove, Colony Club, The Sandpiper, Coral Reef Club, The Fairmont Royal Pavilion and of course Sandy Lane. All of the hotels were very different in style but all equally as beautiful and the trip really helped me to understand how different clients are suited to different properties.
I also enjoyed lots of different excursions including zip lining, The Rum Factory, submarine dive tour, beach activities, 4x4 adventure tour, George Washington’s house tour and a sunset catamaran dinner including swimming with turtles. I was surprised by how much the island had to offer and the variety of activities there were for all ages.
You really can make Barbados any type of holiday you want it to be and there is something for everyone, from relaxing on a beach and eating at some of the best restaurants, to really getting active and joining in with the activities and excursions you like to do and enjoying nights at the island’s night clubs.
I can certainly see why we’re the luxury Barbados holiday specialist!
