Travel Specialist Sarah Rayner describes her recent trip to the contemporary Aguas de Ibiza on the Spanish island… I always thought Ibiza was just a party zone and never realised how beautiful the island actually is! On my recent trip there with ITC we spent one night at the Hotel Aguas de Ibiza Lifestyle & Spa, right in the heart of Santa Eulalia Bay.

The hotel is contemporary and has everything you would need with three restaurants, a large outdoor pool with plenty of sunbeds and an amazing spa. One of the highlights for me was certainly the very trendy rooftop bar with sea views and a pool, where in peak season you can enjoy the sunshine by day and a cocktail, cool Ibiza vibe and DJ’s playing by night.

If you want to venture away from the hotel, then within a couple of minutes walk there is an array of different restaurants to choose from. The hotel is great for families, young and mature couples and even a group travelling together. Plus, if you want to venture into the madness of San Antonia and experience some of the more lively nightlife you can transfer there within 25 minutes and then return to the tranquillity of Aguas de Ibiza to relax and recover!

Overall as a destination, I would strongly recommend car hire when holidaying in Ibiza as there are plenty of beaches and trendy spots for lunch to escape to. If you’re looking for more privacy, then I’d suggest taking a look at one of the numerous villas we have on the island. During my trip we visited everything from contemporary rock star style villas to Moroccan-themed villas, all with breathtaking views and their own staff to take care of you. Bliss!
