ITC’s Movember moustache’s for Macmillan

All in aid of ITC’s chosen charity Macmillan, a few of our team have been sporting fabulous facial hair during the month of November to raise funds for this very worth cause.

The ITC ‘Movember for Macmillan’ fundraisers are Jon Hardcastle and Lee Marshall (pictured) and Mike Duckworth.

These three lovely chaps have grown moustaches for the last month, asking for donations to Macmillan Cancer Support – a charity chosen by the company for the wonderful work it does to improve the lives of people affected by cancer.

Jon said: “We wanted to raise as much money for this fantastic cause as we could. I didn’t realise how big Movember was, but as ITC’s chosen charity this year is cancer charity Macmillan, there was never a better time to don a cookie duster, show our support and more importantly raise awareness and as much cash as we could for this amazing cause.

“On a lighter note, I was curious to know if I could indeed grow such a thing as I’ve never really let my facial hair grow longer than a few days!  I’m sure every man goes through it!”

Jon and Lee have already raised a wonderful £700 for Macmillan, but are looking to hit the £1000 mark by the end of the month.

So how have they found their foray in facial fur? “The first week was hilarious with the banter and picture sharing priceless,” says Jon. “Now we’re nearly done and the novelty is kind of wearing off, I can’t wait to get rid of it. As I am in a ‘customer facing’ role, it has been a brilliant ice breaker with some very mixed feedback. Let’s just say I won’t be in a hurry to do it again!

“The ITC team have been brilliant and so supportive. Once the giggles had stopped I received a genuine pat on the back. There has been some mickey taking but all in good spirits. I suppose deep down the girls love it and the boys – well they’re just jealous!

“On behalf of Lee and I, a big thank you to everyone who has kindly donated.”
