Tennis lovers find the perfect match in Antigua
If you’re a tennis lover then Antigua is definitely the place to go this year! Carlisle Bay, a property that boasts nine tennis courts (eight cushioned hard courts and one artificial grass court) is running a Tennis Week from 11-17 November.
Run by Britain’s former No.1 tennis player and popular sports correspondent, Jeremy Bates, whose professional tennis career highlights include wins over Boris Becker, John McEnroe, Andre Agassi and Pete Sampras to name a few, the tennis week is designed for keen players and older teenagers looking to hone their competitive skills.
The great news is that single players can stay in Garden or Ocean Suites with no single rate supplements and all the participants will have the chance to meet and mingle with Jeremy Bates and fellow tennis enthusiasts at the Sunday evening welcome reception, before the coaching begins.
During the following week, 16-23 November, tennis and television personalities Annabel Croft and Andrew Castle will be at Curtain Bluff to team up with Australian doubles star of the 60’s and 70’s, Owen Davidson, to host their first annual Perfect Match: Tennis & Well-being week. In addition to instructional clinics and matches with the pros, guests will have time to enjoy activities at the resort including a huge variety of watersports.
So what are you waiting for? If you love tennis then Antigua is the destination for you this year!
