Light Your Own Olympic Flame

I was interested to read Martin Hemmings' article in this weekend's Travel section of the Sunday Times on being inspired by the 2012 Olympics to find your own action packed holiday; then delighted further to see ITC Sports highlighted within the article showcasing the brilliant Professions Tennis Week (November 13-19) available at Carlisle Bay in Antigua! As a keen tennis fan, this week I shall be glued to my TV watching Wimbledon and I have to say that the tennis weeks at Carlisle Bay, where you can be taught to improve your technique by former British number one Jeremy Bates, are something of a must for any player no matter what level you may be.

If, like me, you're counting on your children to fulfil any sporting aspirations, then don't forget the Barbados Sports Camps, 2 - 26 August 2011! It can be booked for one to five days for 9 - 17 year olds who'll enjoy free dedicated camps for football, cricket and netball, with fantastic coaching advice from sporting legends in each discipline. Mentors this year include BBC pundit Mark Bright, former England midfielder John Salako and former England striker Luther Blissett for football coaching, Barbados born former England fast bowler (and ITC Sports Tour Ambassador) Gladstone Small for cricket and future netball stars can benefit from coaching by former captains Amanda Newton and Fiona Murtagh MBE as well as getting goal shooting tips from former England star Alex Astle and the most capped England player Kendra Slawinski CBE!
