If you are looking for the ultimate luxury accommodation, along with awe inspiring views, sensational gourmet delights and exceptional service then welcome to Four Seasons Resort Mauritius at Anahita!

From the moment I stepped foot into the property I forgot about the rest of the island that was sitting behind my shoulder and instantly got the impression that I was situated on a private island resort.
The property is located on the edge of the peninsula and boasts some stunning private beaches, one of which I was lucky enough to have my accommodation located on!

I stayed in a Beach Villa, one of a small group that is situated on the edge of the beach overlooking the ocean. The rooms are spacious and the interior is contemporary and I just loved the layout. I sat at the end of my bed for a moment to take it all in and did a 360° view of my surroundings. Straight ahead of me through the sliding doors was an intimate patio with plunge pool overlooking my private garden, which naturally seeped into the golden sands of the beach! Behind me and behind an enclosure was the stunning marble bathroom, with double basin sinks, a walk-in bathtub and an outdoor rain shower.

I was in Mauritius as a guest of the Mauritius Tourist Board and after an amazing week of travelling across the island looking at beautiful deluxe hotels that we feature in our ITC Classics portfolio, and experiencing first hand the fun-filled activities that the island has to offer, we were surprised with a treat, I had managed to win myself a full head/body massage at the Spa! WOW! The massage was so impressive I actually fell asleep, but I can recommend this treatment to anybody and I would also suggest that you do it at the beginning of your stay as it will set you in the relaxing mood for the rest of the duration.

As the sun began to set I quickly got dressed and rang the porter to come and pick me up in the golf cart, (this resort is very large and most people tend to travel by carts!,) residing for the night at Beau Champ restaurant where I sampled some delectable a la carte delights and the marvellous wine sommelier served the most agreeable selection for anyone's palate!

I only stayed here for one evening on my trip to Mauritius and fell in love with it straight away. I just wished I had been able to stay longer but I suppose it's a fantastic excuse to go back again in the very near future…..perhaps I will see you there?
