The wonderful world of Jamaica!

I recently embarked on my first trip to the Caribbean, I wanted to understand why this area of the world is such a favourite of our clients and what can I say…I fell in love!

My destination was the island of Jamaica, a place where the shores are covered in golden sands, lapped by the awe-inspiring blue hues of the Caribbean Sea and the resorts, well they are simply divine!

A visit to the breathtaking Dunn's River Falls saw me trying to recreate the famous scene from James Bond's Dr No when Ursula Andresss walks out of the water in her iconic bikini. I have to say this place is stunning and what an exhilarating experience! Once you have climbed to the top of the waterfall you get an overwhelming and inspirational feeling of achievement. Make sure you take time to sit under the falls on your journey up, as it will provide a sensational back massage!

Heading to Montego Bay, I was fortunate to spend 4 nights in a Luxury Royal Villa at Half Moon, A RockResort. Sitting on 400 acres of land, with a private beach, golf course, shopping village and a large villa complex it denotes luxury in every way!

Half Moon, A RockResort - Take advantage of a pre-easter break with 7 nights from £1,635 per person, in a Superior Room on a room only basis, including flights and transfers.

On the final day just before I had to pick up my transfer to the airport, I finally got to fulfil a lifelong dream! My desire to swim with Dolphins! Half Moon has a dolphin cove on resort, with a natural habitat especially designed for two beautiful young Cuban dolphins called Reggae and Tony. These creatures took my breath away, and I was even luck enough to get a few wet kisses from Reggae, who took every opportunity to show off his tremendous talent.

Homeward bound I realised I was feeling completely love struck….not just with Reggae, but with Jamaica as a whole; it offers such a diverse range of culture, entertainment, natural beauty and high standard of luxury & service.

What was the best thing about Jamaica? The Jamaicans! I have never met a friendlier nation of people or witnessed a more lively attitude to service and I guarantee from the moment you step foot on the island, you will adapt to the relaxed attitude of Jamaican life!
