A true Maldives experience

The first island I visited was Cocoa - total paradise. All over water accommodation where you can step down from your terrace into the sea to snorkel or swim.

Lying on your day bed in the large lounge or on your day bed on your own large over water terrace, you can look out across the sea and relax in total peace & quiet. I even had a yoga lesson one afternoon in the tranquil pavilion.

The food was exceptional and the staff in the restaurant and bar even remembered what drink you preferred.

After our stay on this suberb island, we moved to another - Huvafen Fushi - an uber cool hotel by the renowned Per Aquum hotel group.

After disembarking the private transfer boat we were greeted on the jetty by the staff who knew our names!
I was then whisked away by my very own butler called 'Mouse' who whisked me away on a buggy. Located at the very end of the jetty was my accommodation an Ocean Pavilion - stepping into the accommodation left me speechless, it had its own pool in the lounge area. Its was a very contemporary and modern 2 bedroom 'unit' and a master bedroom that had a bath that filled up from the ceiling. Awesome indeed!

The restaurants offer good choice and variety and again at this hotel nothing is too much trouble for the staff.

Our underwater spa experience was something I definitely would like to experience again - if I ever get the change to go back to paradise.
