Burma (Myanmar) and the Ayeyarwady

The most recent addition to this select fleet is Sanctuary Ananda, a luxury vessel on which each spacious suite enjoys its own private balcony for sublime views as you cruise along the Ayeyarwady and Chindwin rivers. Itineraries range between three and 11 days and every journey takes in the majestic cities of Bagan and Mandalay, as well as some hidden gems you would never discover alone; for example, ask your Travel Specialist about an early morning balloon tour over Bagan.

On board, highly skilled staff - from tour guides to masseuses - are always on hand to assist, with the dining experience being a major highlight. The ship’s experienced chefs are well versed in the demands of luxury hospitality and you will find a mouth-watering range of Asian and Western influenced dishes to suit every taste. Whether you’re dining in the à la carte Talifoo Restaurant or enjoying a sumptuous salad buffet lunch on the Mindoon al fresco dining deck, complimentary drinks are generously supplied by friendly staff. Of course, as well as all this there’s always time to simply relax on deck, watching the river go by or taking a dip in the plunge pool.

China and the Yangzi: Egypt and the Nile

Five further cruise ships - including one available for private charter - offer the same exceptional standards for river tours of the Yangzi in China, and along the Nile; an enticing prospect for those wishing to see the world in comfort and style. Take in the natural beauty of the Xiling Gorges, or the captivating majesty of ancient Egyptian temples; the choice is yours.

11 nights all-inclusive in a Suite from £4,299 per person including return economy class flights and transfers.
