On the beautiful island of Pulau Gaya, one of the five islands of the Tunka Adbul Rahman Park, with far reaching views to the city of Kota Kinabalu. Gaya Island Resort rests along the coast of Malohom Bay, a natural sanctuary nestled in the hillside of an ancient rainforest with a stunning outline of Mount Kinabalu on the horizon.

The resort’s Spa Village provides an idyllic location for rest, relaxation and rejuvenation in the six treatment rooms, outdoor decks and yoga space all set within a mangrove forest. A rich tapestry of spa programmes reflect the cultural healing traditions of Sabah’s many indigenous people. Surrounded by white-sand activities, yoga classes, cruises and nature excursions.

The resort’s architecture respects Sabahan elements; its 120 villas and two-bedroom suite use local materials and blend harmoniously with the natural environment while villa interiors are designed with a contemporary elegance.

This is more than just a beautiful beachfront resort in stunning surroundings; with its PURE activities, this is a place for the curious to actively engage or peacefully absorb all Borneo has to offer.

Set deep in the resort’s lush rainforest sit 120 elegantly designed villas and a two bedroom suite offering comfort, peace and warmth just a footstep away from a natural wonderland.

The Bayu Villas (47sqm) are set amongst the mangroves and are located a short walk from the resort’s beach.

Canopy Villas (47sqm) are found in the dense rainforest and offer views of the forest canopy or overlook the mangroves. Stunning sea views are available from the Kinabalu Villas (47sqm).

The Suria Suite (188sqm) is the epitome of elegance and luxury; situated over two floors the suite boasts uninterrupted South China Sea views. The ground floor boasts a spacious outdoor veranda, lounge, dining room and television room while upstairs there are two en suite bedrooms with walk-in wardrobes and vanity areas, an outdoor bath and a balcony.
