As a general rule, in northern India, October to March gives warm days with dry cool nights and is the best time to travel; southern India is most pleasant from November to March with rains from late May through July; Himalayan summer ranges from April to June, with a maximum of 28°C and a minimum of 15°C and winters are cold.
